Lukas Gut is a Swiss cinematographer based in Zurich.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Film from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences & Arts and completed his Master’s studies in Cinematography at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in 2023
Through his passion for emotional imagery and close collaboration with directors, he develops a precise visual language that puts the narration in focus.
His work includes „The Game“ by Roman Hodel, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in 2020 and was nominated for the Golden Frog at Camerimage. His feature documentary Vracht by Max Carlo Kohal premiered at the PÖFF Black Nights Film Festival and earned him the Camera Prize for Documentary Film by the Zurich Film Foundation in 2025. His latest work, The Siege of Paradise by Gar O’Rourke, will be presented at the Tribeca Film Festival 2026.
